Personality/Background: Bold, cheerful and good-hearted, Niamh is a traditional girl with a warm sense of humour. Having been brought up in the countryside, she has a relaxed and hands-on approach to things, though recent years have compelled her to adapt to fast-paced city life. Despite adapting, she much prefers the simple to the complex, and is not good with aloofness or sarcasm. At heart, she is a romantic and idealist. This shows in her as both a sweeping creativity and a tendency to wander off-topic and put off chores.

As a child, she was a wild, free-roaming thing who played, fished and worked the land along with the boys. She held -- and still holds -- a deep love of nature and the arts, such as music, poetry and dance, and loves telling and listening to stories. Previously, she had actually aspired to become a drama teacher, but the practicalities of job-finding steered her into taking the more employable English and Literature. She is also fond of good -- or at least abundant -- alcohol, and to her benefit she has a good capacity for the drink. She tends to get rowdy when excited or aggravated (or tipsy), and will not hesitate to leap onto a table, to either dance or start a brawl, when she feels it a good idea (for the time, at least).

Appearance: She has classic, curly red hair that she often leaves untied and a slightly lanky but solid frame. Her eyes are green and her skin is very pale, with a dusting of freckles over her nose and cheeks. She tends to roll up her sleeves, in a practical way, and wear long skirts that she can move easily in.
