Personality: She appears tough and a formidable opponent, but she is very cowardly, although Lovina will defend those she loves and holds close, to the death. She tends to let her mouth run, insulting and being impolite but that is just the way she is. She is very careful with who she lets into her world and into her heart, so she is very distrustful of most people around her. She suffers from low confidence, as well as low self-esteem and therefore, she cannot find the motivation in her to do something about her life, and her personality.
She requires attention...no, she craves attention because when she doesn’t get the attention she requires, she goes into a depression and will stay that way for days. She always speaks with profanities using "bastard" or "dammit" a lot. She's stubborn and has actually been described as being quite timid.

Appearance: Lovina is a slender, young woman with bouncy brown hair with one stray curl. She is tall for a woman, but shorter than most of the men she encounters. She is rather pretty, but her face is usually twisted into a snarl, glare or scream, so many people find it a bit hard to tell. She is very fashion-conscious and always dresses nicely, if a bit intimidatingly. Her blouses are fitted, designer and always flattering. She has a preference towards skirts, under which she always wears a pair of shorts, no matter how short the skirt. There is always a headband in her hair, in a desperate attempt to keep her wild hair under control. Some days it works better than others.

History (to see how you translate the country's actual history into your character's background): Lovina was born on March 17th in the city of Rome. However her family was spread across Italy and her mother left her in an orphanage. She was adopted at age 5, by a family from Spain. They treated her politely but she swore and protested the whole entire time. Lovina was eventually sent to a private school to study, and she got good marks, despite sleeping in class. She was then recommended to the World Academy.

Roleplay sample (minimum 200 words): The day was still early but Lovina was already in the kitchen of the restaurant, where she spent her days, cooking Italian food. It was only Five AM, so the restaurant was not open yet. She stirred the pasta sauce deep in thought.

She thought about her life to date and how hard it was for her parents to open a restaurant here in Genova. She added some salt to the sauce and tasted it. It was good...but could use a little more oregano.

She looked around her station for some oregano, finding it in the cupboard. She opened it and put it into the sauce. "Lovi?" she heard and turned around. Her little sister stood at the door of the kitchen, barefoot. "Sicily...what did Mother tell you about going around barefoot?" she asked, picking her up. She turned the stove off and carried her little sister back to the apartment.

"I know… I’m not supposed to be barefoot otherwise I'll get sick, but Big sister...I had a nightmare." she said. She smiled slightly and set her in her bed. "Well, close your eyes and dream of ...kittens and candy. How about this: After I'm done for the day at the restaurant, I'll take you out for ice cream?" she suggested. Over the two years that she had been working at the restaurant, she noticed, she had grown up. Matured a lot.

Sicily nodded and closed her eyes, falling back to sleep. Lovina sat with her little sister for a little while and headed back to the restaurant to finish the pasta sauce. She still had a lot to cook before the restaurant opened. She turned the stove back on and added the oregano that he was planning to add. She stirred the sauce some more, getting lost in her thoughts again.

Resuming her thoughts, she sighed. She really had matured a lot but she still swore and still was cold to everyone else, but to her family, she was polite and respectful. It was what she needed. All she needed in life was her family. Everyone else could go to hell. {The RP sample is genderbended from one I did for Reincarnate Hetalia.}
