Mon 30 Jul - 20:46 by Matthew Williams

EDIT: Congratulation to Alfred for becoming president!

Every student willing to run for the Student council elections will have to give a small speech on their motivation; They also will have a week to convince people to vote for them.
The winner of the elections will become president, while the second best will assist him as vice president.
You may run for the treasurer and secretary post separately.

((post your "speech" here and rp out your promotion! people who didn't post said IC speech will not be considered as running up for a post. You will be asked to vote IC for who you think your character would vote for on Sunday. Teachers can't vote.))

School's rules

Tue 12 Jun - 14:12 by Admin

Following are our school's rules; we expect all students to follow them. Going against them will cause an immediate sanction. Severe offenses may result in expulsions.

1) Uniforms are mandatory on school's grounds. While we do allow students to alter them in some ways, we do ask of them they keep it close to the original. Skirts have to fall at least mid-thighs.

2)Violence is not allowed in any cases. Verbal violence, bullying, or fights will not be tolerated and will be faced with severe punishments.

3) Alcohol, weapons or drugs are not allowed on school grounds. This includes personal multi function knives or cigarettes.

4) Teachers will check the dorms after the curfew; past 10PM everyone is meant to be in their respective rooms, sleeping.

5) Male students aren't allowed in the girl's dorms, Female students aren't allowed in the boy's dorms.

6)Respect your teachers and environment. Mocking a teacher or littering will be punished.

7) Students are allowed to go in town, but not out of it. Please act like responsible people and stay out of trouble there.

8) Skipping classes is forbidden. You may miss classes if you get a note from the infirmary.

9) Students are not allowed in the teacher's lounge; they also have to ask permission before using any classroom out of class times.

((Those rules are the school's rule, IC; of course you're allowed to not follow them but know it will have consequences IC too. If a student really earns themselves an expulsion, since we don't want to kick rper out for that, we will find a way to come back or stay, don't worry!))

China Application Empty China Application

Post by Wang Yao Thu 15 Dec - 14:55

Name: Wang Yao
Country representing: The People’s Republic of China
Age: 19 (but late into it)
Student or teacher? Student
Personality: A determined young man, Yao works hard and is, indeed, a model student. He is slightly older than most of his fellow student due to his entering school later than most. He is proud of his age and considers himself to be wiser and more mature than his peers. Despite this, however, he becomes quite energetic and childish when he’s around something he finds cute. In fact, he secretly has a few plushies, his favorites being a stuffed panda and a hello kitty doll, which he keeps hidden in his dorm room. He occasionally ends his sentences with “aru”. Though, strangely enough, when asked about it he said he was unaware of this speech pattern.
He loves good food and is actually a rather skilled cook himself. He will also gladly try non-native foods, simply for the variety. He often misses his homeland and can become rather nostalgic. He tries to be friendly toward everyone, or at least not regard them negatively. He especially enjoys the company of his fellow Asians, treating them like his siblings, though they may not quite reciprocate the sentiment. He, unfortunately, is plagued with hypertension and can overwork himself very easily, even to the point of passing out. He is caring and will not hesitate to comfort someone who’s distraught or is simply having a bad day.

Roleplay sample:
The Asian let himself fall, landing heavily on his bed. Raising an arm to cover his burning eyes, he let out a weary sigh. It had been a long day and he was exhausted. Unfortunately, it was still light out and he couldn’t, for the life of him, fall asleep. He groaned, sitting up on the welcoming mattress. Arms raised high above his head, he stretched, his joints loosening with a satisfying pop. He scanned his room for something calming to do so that he could relax his mind and, hopefully, drift off to sleep. A stack of books in the corner caught his eye and he crossed the room, kneeling beside the tower. He scoured the titles for one that could fit his intention. Art of War. No. Expert Tai Chi. Not enough energy, and something like that couldn’t simply be read. He continued down the stack, finally settling on a large gardening book near the bottom. The Oriental crouched low and very carefully began to ease the thick literature from its restraining neighbors. Despite his efforts, they collapsed on top of him, knocking over his slight frame. “Aiya~,” he groaned, gradually propping himself up a small distance off the ground on his elbows. The sudden, involuntary rush of adrenalin that had made its way through his body during the spontaneous avalanche now had his head pounding and his heart racing.

Lying face down on the carpeted floor, he attempted to sit up. However, the multitude of novels on his back was too great and he found himself pinned under the weight. Yao struggled, trying every which way to escape the large pile, but his efforts were in vain. Beginning to panic, the Asian groped around for his cell phone which, after checking his empty pocket, he realized he’d dropped in the literary onslaught. Unable to see the device enough to dial by heart, he pressed a random button to activate speed dial. The Oriental pressed the phone to his ear and listened anxiously for the end of the dial tone, wondering who would pick up.
